Wilton Rancheria 90.57-Acre Fee-to-Trust and Commercial Development Project

The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) to analyze the potential environmental consequences of the Wilton Rancheria (Tribe) 90.57-Acre Fee-to-Trust and Commercial Development Project, which includes the acquisition by the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) of a 90.57-acre property into federal trust status for the benefit of the Tribe for economic development purposes (Proposed Action). Following the acquisition of the Project Site into federal trust, the Tribe proposes to develop mixed commercial facilities which may include, but not be limited to, retail commercial, office space, restaurants, entertainment, hotels, financial institutions, parks, as well as additional compatible uses (Proposed Project). The federal actions necessary to implement the Proposed Project trigger the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

A Notice of Availability for the EA was published on July 17, 2026 and initiated a 30-day public review period. Comments on the EA must be emailed, mailed, or hand-delivered to one of the following by August 17, 2026:
